Classic Oxfords, brogues, the Chelsea boot, combat boots, over-the-knee flats boots, loafers, sporty slides . . . it’s all about flats for fall and my feet can’t thank the designers enough. I must admit that there is nothing quite like a killer heel to really make you feel good about yourself, but when it comes to traipsing around town, I simply can’t wear a heel for any length of time. Even the tiniest of kitten heel (the itty bitty kitty) makes my feet burn after more than 500 steps (yes, the podemeter confirms that I max out at 500 steps in a heel). So I am thrilled to see that it’s all about the flats this season.
Current favourites: Jeffrey Campbell’s edgy cut-out loafer, Sezme (jeffreycampbellshoes.com, $140)
I’m also crushing on these Nine West TryMe (maybe I will) calf-hair leopard print kicks (ninewest.ca $130).
